STRIKE DESK / RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING
Keep the pause button close
Gambling can cause financial and personal harm. It is not a way to earn income or solve money problems. Choosing not to play is always a valid option.
Set boundaries before starting
Use only disposable entertainment money. Never borrow to gamble, chase losses or play when distressed or impaired. Set deposit and time limits before a session.
Notice when it stops being fun
Hiding spending, increasing stakes to recover losses or neglecting everyday needs are reasons to stop and seek support. A timeout or self-exclusion can create space away from play.
Find support beyond the game
Speak with someone you trust or a qualified support service in your area. Gambling Therapy provides international information and support at gamblingtherapy.org. In Great Britain, visit gamcare.org.uk for support and gamstop.co.uk for online self-exclusion information. If there is immediate danger, contact your local emergency service.
